Description

This whimsical necklace is not sweet, despite the charming theme. The colors are extremely elegant and rather serious. The effect when it is worn is startling because of the strong color and graphic design. The glittery, expertly cut danburites sparkle and dematerialize.  Dramatically, there no center to this necklace, which allows the butterflies to float to either side. There is also no clasp. The piece is a shaped cuff that sits miraculously smoothly on the neck. Pull the metal slightly apart to slide it on.

Despite the drama of the necklace, it is delicate and looks wonderful worn casually. This cuff necklace was inspired by Alexander Calder’s extraordinary sculptural jewelry.
